Web Writing
Creating a website focused on a target audience requires thinking strategically about the information needed and how users navigate the website. In the example below, you can see how the current KU Medical Center Office of International Program’s website is very heavy on text and requires multiple clicks to find information. This website is especially challenging for some international students.
In the new site, (not yet published) students will be easily able to quickly navigate to pages designed specifically for international or study abroad students. The remaining content on the page includes visual statistics and past students sharing their study abroad experiences. The new page will be heavy on images and light on text.

Non-profit writing
As a copywriter, I worked on dozens of non-profit client accounts, varying in size and complexity. These integrated campaigns were designed to reach donors through direct mail, email, social media and more.

Academic Writing
For fun (or nap-inducing reading), here’s a research paper on the health disparities between Johnson County and Wyandotte County, Kansas, with a specific focus on lead poisoning among children. The paper offers strategic recommendations for healthcare administrators to address these health issues.
